The terms that apply when you use this website and our venue-finding service.
These terms are between you and [COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME], trading as ACE — A Chain of Events ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered at [REGISTERED_ADDRESS] under company number [COMPANY_NUMBER].
By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or the service.
We are a venue-finding service. We take your brief, search our network, and introduce you to venues that fit your event, dates, guest numbers and budget.
We act as an introducer. We are not a venue, an event organiser, or an agent of any venue with authority to make bookings on its behalf unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
What we do:
What we do not do, unless separately agreed in writing:
Our venue-finding service is free to you. We are normally paid a commission by the venue when a booking goes ahead through our introduction. This does not increase the price you pay — venue rates are the same as booking direct.
If you ask us for additional services beyond venue finding, we will quote separately and in writing before starting any chargeable work.
When you decide to book, you contract directly with the venue or supplier. Their terms, deposits, payment schedule, cancellation policy and insurance requirements apply to that booking, not ours.
Please read a venue's contract carefully before signing. We are not a party to it and cannot vary its terms.
We are not responsible for the venue's performance, the quality of its facilities, food and drink, staffing, safety standards, or any failure to deliver what it promised.
Submitting an enquiry does not create a booking or reserve a date. Availability changes constantly and is only confirmed once the venue accepts your booking.
Prices, packages and capacities shared with you come from the venues. They are indicative and subject to change until the venue confirms them in writing. We take reasonable care in passing on information but cannot guarantee it is complete or current.
We cannot guarantee that a suitable venue will be available for your date, budget or requirements.
Where we have introduced you to a venue, please keep us informed if you book with it. Attempting to bypass us purely to avoid the introduction may breach these terms.
You can stop using our venue-finding service at any time by telling us. There is no charge.
Once you have booked with a venue, cancellations, postponements and refunds are governed entirely by that venue's contract. Any request to change or cancel must go to the venue directly.
You may use this website for your own genuine event enquiries. You must not:
We may suspend access if we believe the site is being misused. We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
All content on this site — text, layout, photography, graphics, logos and code — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own use. Any other use needs our written permission.
Venue images and descriptions are supplied by, and remain the property of, the venues concerned.
Our site may link to venue websites and other third-party pages. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that:
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
We handle your information as set out in our Privacy Policy. In particular, to find you a venue we share your enquiry details with venues in our network, and those venues then handle your information under their own policies.
If something has gone wrong with our service, email [CONTACT_EMAIL] with the details and we will acknowledge it within five working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
Complaints about a venue should go to the venue first, under its own complaints process. We will help where we reasonably can.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you submit an enquiry is the version that applies to that enquiry. The date at the top shows when they were last revised.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
